Volunteer with BSYSL – Help Make Soccer Happen!
Our Recreational Soccer Program runs entirely on the power of volunteers—just like you! From coaching to field setup, every role plays a crucial part in making the experience fun, safe, and organized for our players and families. Whether you’re a seasoned soccer enthusiast or simply eager to help, we have a place for you.
Ways You Can Help
⚽ Head Coach
No experience required—just heart!
We provide training and resources to help you get started. Head Coaches lead practices and games, teach basic soccer skills, and model good sportsmanship. Your presence helps build consistency and unity for the team.

👟 Assistant Coach
Assist the Head Coach in running practices and games. Be ready to step in if the Head Coach is absent. No experience needed—this is a great way to get involved and learn!
🏛 Board Member (At-Large)
Join the leadership behind BSYSL. Help administer the league, support coaches and families, and contribute to making the league stronger. We’re currently seeking At-Large Members who are eager to learn and grow into larger roles.
📣 Coach League Administrators
We’re looking for 2–3 experienced coaches per age group to support and mentor others. Be the eyes and ears for your league, help resolve minor conflicts, and guide new coaches with rules and best practices.
🛠 Field Prep & Cleanup
First game of the day? Help set up the field—flags, goals, etc.
Last game? Tie up trash bags and leave them next to the bins.
We ask for 4 volunteers per team to share the load. It’s simple, but essential!
📋 U14/U18 Player Evaluation Volunteer
Help us run smooth evaluations by signing in players and directing them to the right fields. We need 6 volunteers per night for evaluation sessions.
👪 Team Mom or Dad
Help with snacks, team parties, and team communication. This role supports the coach and helps build community within the team. Ask your coach if this spot is open!
💡 Other Volunteer Roles
We always need extra help throughout the season—whether it's organizing events, helping on game days, or sharing ideas.

Volunteer Perks for Coaches & Assistants
We appreciate your time and commitment! As a thank-you to our Coaches and Assistant Coaches, you’ll receive:
✅ Guaranteed placement of up to 4 players on your team (including your own children)
✅ Up to 2 sponsor slots for families who request to join your team
Want to choose your child’s coach?
Contact them directly to ask about available sponsor slots, and submit a sponsorship registration to secure your child’s placement.
